Who We Are
The True Family has owned and operated True’s Service since its establishment by Les True in 1952. Today, Ed, Les’s son, owns the company. While Rob, Ed’s son, handles most of the day-to-day operations. Travis, Rob’s son, manages the heavy-duty towing and recovery operations. Four generations spanning over 73 years of dedicated service to our community.

Our fleet is fully equipped and ready to meet all of your emergency needs. We tow vehicles and equipment, by appointment, and provide 24-hour emergency services, With locations in Dowagiac and Paw Paw, Michigan, our trucks cover all of southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana. Heavy duty towing and recovery is our specialty, but we are equipped for all of your light, medium, or heavy-duty towing needs.

At True’s Towing Service, our mission is to provide fast, reliable, and trustworthy roadside assistance when our customers need it most. We are committed to delivering top-quality service with professionalism, safety, and care at the forefront of everything we do. Whether it’s a simple jump-start or a rolled over tractor-trailer, we strive to treat every call with urgency, respect, and honesty—earning the confidence of our community mile after mile.
While our mission remains unwavering, we also strive to change the emergency response industry as a whole. We set out every day to make the roads a safer place and to raise awareness that a lack of attention to the roadway takes people away from their families. Far too many lives have been lost for us to stand idly by, so we work to bring attention to the fact that getting over and slowing down when you see emergency lights is more important than people realize. And please don’t forget that NO text message is more important than the life of a first responder, construction worker, or tow truck operator.
